MEET AMELIA BUECHE
Dr. Bueche (pronounced Bee-Key) is an osteopathic physician board certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, focused on the best health for individuals, families and communities locally, regionally, nationally and globally. Dedicated to the core tenets of osteopathy, she maintains broad vision during her assessment of patients, considering the integration of body, mind and spirit in the evaluation process and development of treatment, focused on meeting the individual where they are and creating together a meaningful and manageable plan to reach health goals.
With a strong focus on the relationship of structure and function, Dr. Bueche performs comprehensive physical exam along with a detailed history and utilizes Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) when indicated to treat her patients. Recognizing that restrictions in the mechanics of the body can prevent health from reaching its fullest potential through impact on the nerves, muscles, blood flow and lymphatic drainage, this gentle hands-on approach is a useful tool in achieving optimization and provides opportunity to encourage the body back to its natural state of balance.
A lifelong athlete competitive in running, rowing, triathlon and CrossFit, Dr. Bueche is dedicated to the utilization of functional movement and believes that health can be discovered on the path toward fitness. She is experienced in coaching and will be leading classes for patients of all levels from rehabilitation to competition, training all facets of fitness to support successful participation in any task life may require. Recognizing the critical role of nutrition in health, Dr. Bueche is an advocate for the small, traditional farmer, encouraging proper nourishment through the consumption of whole foods, obtained close to their source, prepared with care and shared in community.
Herself a mother, physician, athlete, musician, writer and activist, Dr. Bueche understands the stressors of modern life and the challenges of balancing work and family with wellness goals. She works with patients to remove obstructions to health in all these areas through use of work parties with friends to meditation techniques to personal check-ins to journaling to creative expression to goal-setting. In conjunction with the diverse skill-set of the entire team at Table Health, Dr. Bueche will work with each patient to develop a tailored plan, navigating the path toward best health.
A native of Saginaw, graduate of Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency at Mercy Health in Muskegon, Dr. Bueche is excited to return back to her home state after three years in Southern Oregon. She is grateful for the opportunity to support the vision of Table Health in revolutionizing patient care for the best health of all. Dr. Bueche and her husband, two sons and daughter are grateful to be part of the Traverse City community and the many adventures it has to offer.
